When University Spine Associates opened its doors in 2006 for patients afflicted with severe spinal pain, our practice centered on the ideal of providing comprehensive spine treatment and compassionate care. For Dr. Haim D. Blecher, fellowship trained board certified orthopedic spine surgeon and founder of University Spine Associates, simply supplying New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware patients with a solution to their severe back and neck pain wasn’t enough. The goal of University Spine Associates was--and still is--to maintain a practice where exceptional spinal treatment and surgery combine with an incomparable office atmosphere to achieve a level of patient service that can only be described as world class.
Today, we continue this tradition by providing patients with state-of-the-art spinal treatments including, but not limited to herniated disc surgery, adult scoliosis surgery, spinal fusion, and minimally invasive spine surgery procedures. As a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialist who has received training in the United States as well as Europe, Dr. Blecher brings to the practice years of experience and a high-level of expertise. Our patients also benefit from access to New Jersey’s leading medical center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where complex spinal surgical conditions are treated on a regular basis. We have also developed excellent access to outpatient minimal access surgeries at the University SurgiCenter where patients go home the same day as their life changing surgery.
A Practice Dedicated to Conditions of the Lumbar, Cervical, & Thoracic Spine
Current statistics reveal that back and/or neck pain is the second leading cause behind the common cold that compels Americans to schedule an appointment with their primary care physician. Of those cases, many ailments can be relieved via non-invasive action, however for those individuals that are finding it difficult to deal with the debilitating symptoms of a spinal deformity (like scoliosis) or a spine injury (like a disc hernia), University Spine Associates is here to help patients living in and around the New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York region. Our practice is unique in that our complete efforts are focused on treating conditions, deformities, and injuries of the spinal column, spinal nerves, and vertebrae. We understand that committing to a spine treatment is never a decision to be made in haste and that is why we devote an unlimited amount of time to each patient. Back surgery, neck surgery, disc surgery, spinal fusion, or minimally invasive spine surgery presents a set of known complications as well as a challenging recovery period at times and University Spine Associates is committed to making patients aware of all possible spine surgery benefits, projected outcomes, and complications. In our opinion, an informed patient is the best patient and we do all that we can to ensure this result. |
